A few points about Chevron parquet

When ordering chevron parquet, know the angle of the chevron and the correct way to measure it, otherwise you may be shocked. The standard angle of Chevron Morflor products is 45 degrees. However, other angles can be produced at the customer’s request.

The demand for Chevron parquet or Persian parquet is increasing, so it is better to know its technical and visual specifications for ordering and installation. Chevron is one of the classic parquet patterns that is becoming more and more popular in many designs. The chevron pattern is available in different sizes and angles. This variety causes confusion for customers, sellers and contractors about the right size and type of chevron parquet for the intended location. It is necessary to know the proper specifications to place an accurate and correct order to the seller. Ignoring these details can cause problems between you and the customer. Finally, in order to avoid wasting money and energy, it is strongly recommended to have a CAD plan of your Chevron layout before ordering.
The most common way to determine the length of the chevron is to measure the length of one side of the tile. In other words, the measurement is from the long part to the short part on the same side of the tile. Note that unlike the herringbone parquet pattern, there is no rule for chevron parquet about the length being a multiple of the width.
Regardless of anything, the edges of Chevron parquet should be aligned. Then you need to determine the end cut angle on the part. The most common angle is 45 degrees, but the chevron can be installed with 22.5, 30 or 60 degrees. The end cutting angle is the angle that you will consider if you want to cut the tile yourself using a standard saw and a protractor. The actual angle that is less than 90 degrees is the desired angle. This is the angle at which you set your miter saw or measuring tool to cut the pieces.
Of course, for 45 degrees, this is not important because 90 minus 45 is 45! But for 22.5, 30 and 60 degrees, measure the actual acute angle of the end cut and subtract from 90 to determine the appropriate end cut angle. When ordering a 5.22° chevron, the actual end cut angle is 67.5° (5.22=5.67-90). To order a 30 degree chevron, the actual end cut angle is 60 degrees (30=60-90) and when ordering a 60 degree chevron, the actual end cut angle is 30 degrees (90=30-60). Of course, all the things that have been said are idioms in Europe and America. In Iran, due to the relatively new nature of the subject, parquet manufacturers and brands do not have a single literature.
This will probably be confusing; Because the total right and left angle of a chevron is an angle twice the actual acute angle measured at the end cut, not the ordered angle. The chevron designation is clarified for the manufacturer by the settings on the miter saw or protractor. It becomes easier to understand if you look at the chart of common sizes of ordered chevrons.

Chevron installation tips

If you seem to have a problem during installation, never make even a small cut from the end of the factory cut chevron parquet. By doing this, you will make the problem that you were trying to improve worse. You may only see a difference of 2 mm, but it will add ten times to that 2 mm. Chevron parquet installation

• The work must be smooth. This point is very important in installing Chevron parquet. Note that you are placing a 2D pattern on a 3D surface. Can you wrap a chevron around a sphere? Of course not.
• Know that when cutting wood, the smaller the pieces, the better the size tolerance. The wider or longer your Chevron parquet becomes, the harder it is for the parquet manufacturer to maintain low tolerances.
